G20 Protests in London
I seem to be posting to this blog less often that I brush my teeth..
I went over to the G20 protests on the 31st March, it was quite pitiful really. More people with cameras than protesters and just a few trouble-makers. The photos in the papers were all staged by some protest group or another - I did notice how media savvy they were, don’t know whether that is a good or a bad thing.
Click on any of the images to be taken to the set.

The Mexican Suitcase
This was a very nice diversion, a ‘web book’ about a man, who decides to hunt down a suitcase of unknown negatives taken by Robert Capa.
Won’t say anything more, have a look (click the photo).

Kathleen House Warming
Some shots from a house warming with the beast (aka 35/1.2 Nokton) and Neopan1600 @ 1600 in DD-X 1:4 for 5 minutes at 20C. All were taken at f/1.4
I was thinking of selling the Nokton, but everytime I take it out and see the lovely rendering I decide to keep it again. Just wish it was smaller
And I am now down to my last 12 rolls of Neopan1600. I got it as a cheaper alternative to pushing HP5+ when Megaperls were selling off the last of the 100ft bulk rolls and didn’t like it as much as HP5+ @ 1600 at first, but I’ve grown to like it after getting used to the super-short 5 minute development time and the need to moderate agitation.

Bessa R Shutter Repair
This gentleman on Flickr has put up a very useful guide to sorting out a “common” Bessa R problem with pictures. I sorted out a Cosina SLR the same way (now sold), super simple - and I managed to figure it out without the guide. You just need a small (”jewellers”) cross screwdriver for the baseplate.
